The Sanctuary is on the highest point of the island. From the centre of Cure, you can reach the sanctuary on foot in about 25 minutes (900 meters), along a paved path at times uneven, which has variable slopes (from 8%  to 25%). Along the path there are some information panels (110 cm high above the ground).

Just before reaching the sanctuary, you have to pass in succession: 27 consecutive steps (5 cm high each), 6 steps (12 cm high each), a double leaf gate (77 cm wide each) and other 18 steps (14 cm high each) with handrail on both the sides (90 cm high above the ground).

After the gate and 9 of the 18 steps, on the right side, you there is a ramp (slope of 5%, 90 cm wide) that runs along the perimeter of the sanctuary leading to the main entrance.

In the space in front of the Sanctuary of the Madonna della Ceriola there is a panoramic point that offers a wonderful view of the lake and of the surrounding mountains (with a telescope at 145 cm high above the ground).
