Getting there by public transport

Parking place
The museum is located in the upper part of the Old Town. It is possible to park on the blue strips, about 100 m on the lakefront (Piazza Venti Settembre) where there are many parking spaces, 4 of which are reserved for disabled pass holders.

Entrance
The entrance presents in succession: a step (13 cm high), a double leaf door (71 cm wide each), 2 steps (17 cm high each) and an automatic door (96 cm wide).
People with motor disabilities can access the museum using the library entrance (via San Paolo 6) which has two consecutive doors: the first one is a double leaf door (50 cm wide each), the second one is an automatic door (87 cm wide). You reach the ground floor of the museum through a double leaf door (96 cm wide each).

The museum is open from March to December only during weekends from 9.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.

 Lift
The elevator is located in the library, to the left of the counter (counter height: 111 cm) for books loans. It connects the three floors of the building and has the following characteristics:

  • door width: 90 cm; cabin: 150x150 cm
  • elevator level buttons panel with embossed Braille printing (114 cm high)
  • acoustic and visual signal of arrival at the floor
  • emergency bell (120 cm high above the floor).

Exhibition itinerary
The Civic Museum of Art and Territory is located at Palazzo Gervasoni, formerly a cloistered convent (XV century). The exhibition path develops on three floors (ground, first and second floor), connected by flights of stairs and by the elevator located in the library. From the mezzanine floor (0) you reach the first floor by a staircase of 18  steps (16 cm high each); from the first floor you reach the second floor by  a staircase of 15  steps (16 cm high each).
On the ground floor, there is a central hall with 40 seats (seat height: 42 cm) and two smaller rooms.
The first floor has 3 interconnecting exhibition rooms, connected by a step (19 cm high), which can be overcome by a ramp (120 cm long, slope of 9%) and a passageway that is 94 cm wide.

The Pinacoteca, inaugurated in 2004, displays almost 200 works from the Don Gianni Bellini's donation.

The works, mostly paintings from the period between the 16th and 18th centuries, are located at different heights. Don Bellini also donated precious vintage furniture, some marble and wooden statues and four "processional" crucifixes, one in wood and three in silver-plated copper.

Toilet facilities
The toilet equipped for people with disabilities is located in the library, just in front of the lift, and has the following features:

  • wall-mounted washbasin (clear space in front: 220 cm)
  • toilet with hinged door (90 cm wide)
  • wall-mounted washbasin (clear space in front: 132 cm)
  • floor-standing toilet (clear space: in front 118 cm; on the right side 48 cm, on the left side 198 cm; horizontal handle and hand shower on the left side, vertical handle on the right side and handrail along the perimeter of the bathroom)
  • high contrast symbols indicating toilet facilities, positioned at eye level, using medium to large size letters.
