Parking
Parking is available on the blue lines along the adjacent streets. Parking spaces reserved for people with permits for citizens with disability are: one in piazzale Vittorio Veneto (a 250 m), one in viale Monte Grappa, 3 in viale della Repubblica (400 m away) and one in viale Risorgimento (400 m away).

Information for visitors
Reduced fees for the person with disabily and free his companion.
A manual wheelchair is available to visitors .
Audio guides are available (in Italian, French, English and German), free for blind and visually impaired visitors. Persons with visual disabilities (individual or small groups) can book tours with an experienced operator or tour the building independently. In the latter case the following are available: audio guides, room cards with explanations in three versions (regular black, black for visually impaired and in Braille) and visual-tactile postcards depicting the Palazzo Te map.

Entrance
The garden in front of Palazzo Te has a fine gravel surface. Overcoming an inclined ramp (length 230 cm, gradient 7%) and a double swing gate (168 cm each) visitors enter the porch of the building. On the left an inclined ramp (length 300 cm, gradient 7%) and an automatic sliding door (100 cm) lead to the ticket office, where the exhibition starts.

Reception
In the lobby there are:

  • the ticket office (counter h 112 cm)
  • the information point (counter h 112 cm).

Museum staff offer information and hospitality.
Outside Palazzo Te, via the garden or at the end of the exhibition path, there is a bookshop (desk h 92 cm)

Accessibility for people with sensory disabilities
At Palazzo Te, various aids are designed to facilitate use by persons with visual disabilities. They include eight functional perspective tactile perception bas-reliefs; an unfolding three-dimensional model of the Camera dei Giganti (House of the Giants), which reproduces the internal structure, the morphology of the environment and the scenes painted on the walls and on the ceiling. In addition at the entrance of the museum there are two visual-tactile maps: one is a map of the museum and the other the historical and geographical placing of Palazzo Te in the city.

Exhibition layout
The building is completely accessible on the ground floor section, which houses the frescoes of Giulio Romano and temporary exhibitions. Along the itinerary there are seats (h 45 cm) and the spaces are wide and free of obstacles. The museum unfolds over several rooms and lodges. In Sala Capitali and Loggia Meridionale a video with audio commentary in Italian without subtitles is available.
The first floor can only be reached via a staircase of 42 steps (h 16 cm). This floor houses the Museo Egizio (Egyptian Museum) and the permanent collections (paintings donated by Mondadori publishing house, the Gonzaga section, the Acerbi Egyptian collection and the Sissa Mesopotamian section). From the sezione mesopotamica (Mesopotamian section) to sezione gonzaghesca (Gonzaga section) there are two flights of stairs of 5 and 6 steps (h 20 cm). To reach the Museo Egizio it is necessary to pass two flights of 18 stairs (h 18 cm) and an opening of 90 cm.
In the indoor garden of Palazzo Te, you can visit the Secret Garden and the Cave Apartment, reached via a path (100 m) with a gravel surface.
To enter the Giardino Segreto (Secret Garden) visitors must pass the following: a ramp (length 340 cm, 6% gradient), a double swing door (72 cm each), a second ramp (length 230 cm, 6% gradient). Within the garden is the Appartamento della Grotta (Cave Apartment) which is accessed via a step (h 7 cm), a swing door (105 cm) and a further 3 steps (h 19 cm).

Direction signs
Along the various paths there are directional arrows written in large letters (at least 7 cm) and clearly visible.

Restrooms
There are three toilets equipped for persons with disabilities.
The first, on the ground floor area dedicated to exhibitions, has the following features:

  • anteroom with swinging door (width 94 cm)
  • bathroom with swinging door (width 90 cm)
  • wall-mounted washbasin (138 cm front space)
  • floor-mounted WC (front space 70 cm, 23 cm right side, 132 cm left side, vertical grab bar on both sides)
  • symbols of the toilets, at eye level, medium-large size and clearly visible.

The second, located inside the bar, has the following features:

  • anteroom with double swing doors (width 50 cm each)
  • bathroom with swinging door (width 91 cm)
  • wall-mounted washbasin (180 cm Front space)
  • wall-mounted WC (146 cm front space, right side 120 cm, left side 22 cm, vertical grab bar on both sides)
  • symbols of the toilets, at eye level, medium-large size and clearly visible.

The third equipped toilet is situated in the Fruttiere area, the space dedicated to temporary exhibitions.

Bar
The bar is located on the ground floor next to the bookshop and can be found at the end of the exhibition itinerary in Palazzo Te. It can be reached from the garden outside through a double swing door (width 98 cm each). It has an indoor dining room (20 seats) and is furnished with round tables with a single central leg (free space below 71 cm).

Emergency exits are indicated. An acoustic and visual alarm system is installed.
