Parking
The Museo Diocesano is sited in a Ztl area with electronic access control. In Corso di Porta Ticinese, in front of the no. 95, there is a parking space reserved for people with permits for citizens with disability.

Entrance
The main entrance of the museum is inside the Parco delle Basiliche: it can be reached going through a short stretch of paved road and overcoming 5 consecutive steps (h 16 cm); it has two consecutive double doors: the first is automatic (width 195 cm), the second is a double swing door (85 cm each one).
People with motor disability can enter by the driveway of Corso di Porta Ticinese 95 (width 360 cm), that leads into the Cloister. The secondary entrance of the museum is sited along the porch on the left and it has a soil (2 cm) and a swing door (104 cm); it is necessary to ask for the staff help ringing the bell (h 130 cm from the ground).

Reception
In the entrance hall there are:

• Infopoint (counter height 90 cm)
• ticket office (counter height 102 cm)
• wardrobe (cabinets at different heights from the ground)

Museum professionals are able to give information and hospitality.

Lift
The lift links all the floor of the building and it has these features:

• door 90 cm, cabin 150x154 cm
• raised control panel and in Braille (h 138 cm)
• acoustic and visual signal for arrival at the floor.
• emergency bell (h 120 cm)

Exhibition itinerary
From the entrance there is an inclined ramp and an aisle leading to the ticket office and to the lift. Along the aisle there is an exhibition room that has 1 step, that can be overcame with an inclined ramp (slope 14%).
Four video stations (free space underneath 73 cm) give information and images of the museum. Some of the rooms of the first floor can be reached overcoming 1 step (h 11 cm) and a door (80 cm) or it is possible to use an inclined ramp (slope 5%), sited at the end of the pathway.

Signage guidance
The building has:

• directional arrows written in large letters (at least 7 cm) and well contrasted
• symbols of the toilets well contrasted, at eye level, medium to large size

Restrooms
There are two toilets equipped for people with disability and an accessible toilet.

• The toilet accessible is sited on the ground floor (near the drink vending machines and it has these features:
• dressing with swing door (91 cm) and suspended washbasin (frontal space 140 cm)
• bathroom with sliding door (90 cm)
• suspended washbasin (frontal space 140 cm)
• WC on the ground (frontal space 116 cm, right-hand side 68 cm, left-hand side 43 cm).

A toilet equipped for people with disability is sited on the underground floor and it has these features:

• dressing with swing door (84 cm)
• bathroom with swing door (90 cm)
• suspended washbasin (frontal space 139 cm)
• WC on the ground (frontal space 200 cm, right-hand side 96 cm, left-hand side 31 cm, handrail along the toilet perimeter).

The second toilet equipped for people with disability is sited on the first floor and it has these features:

• dressing with sliding door (88 cm) and suspended washbasin (frontal space 140 cm)
• bathroom with sliding door (88 cm)
• suspended washbasin (frontal space 145 cm)
• WC on the ground (frontal space 138 cm, right-hand side 122 cm, left-hand side 23 cm, horizontal grab bar on the right-hand side).

Emergency exit
Emergency routes are marked. The alarm disposal is visual and acoustic.

Bar/Café
There is a dining area on the ground floor, near the ticket office, that can be reached overcoming 1 step (h 17 cm). It has a small hall arranged with rounded tables with four legs (free space underneath 69 cm), 10 seating (seat height 44 cm), two hot/cold drinks and snack vending machines.
