Getting there by public transport
San Pietro in Lamosa, dominating the "Torbiere di Sebino", is in the heart of Franciacorta.
The monastery is located about 800 m from the Provaglio-Timoline railway station (Brescia - Iseo - Edolo line).

Parking area
Near the monastery there is a large blue striped parking with 2 parking spaces reserved for disabled pass holders. From the parking area you reach the monastery by walking about 30 meters along a road with gravel surface that runs on the right side of the religious complex.

Alternatively, keeping the left from the parking area, you can access the complex from the entrance of the oratory, walking a paved avenue for 10 meters.

Entrance to the Church and to the "Sala della Disciplina"
The paving in front of the monastery has a gravel surface, while in front of the entrance to the church and to the Sala della Disciplina the paving is in cobblestone. The church can be accessed via a sloping ramp (length: 82 cm, slope of 13%) and a double leaf door (46 cm wide each). The entrance to the Sala della Disciplina has in succession: 1 step (9 cm high), 5 consecutive steps (20 cm high), a door with two leaves (73 cm wide each) and a step (20 cm high).

The Church
The church, in Lombard Romanesque style, has two naves: the central one and the left side one, can be visited without obstacles. The church has benches and chairs (seat height: 49 cm). You can access the altar after 2 steps (18 cm high each).  The apse has two Baroque altars, reachable by passing a step (18 cm high). On the side aisle there are 4 frescoed chapels that can be reached by passing two steps (13 cm high each).

Sala della Disciplina
In the Sala della Disciplina you can admire sixteenth-century frescoes with scenes from the Passion of Jesus and a monumental Crucifixion. The room has chairs (seat height: 49 cm) and descriptive panels (100 cm above the floor).

Sala Bettini
The Sala Bettini can be reached from the square in front of the church, passing 15 consecutive steps (17 cm high each), followed by another 15 steps (16 cm high each) with a handrail on the left (90 cm above the ground).

The entrance to the Sala Bettini has a step (17 cm high) and a hinged door (113 cm wide).
The large multifunctional space, now used for temporary exhibitions and events, is on two different levels, connected by 6 consecutive steps (15 cm high each).

Between the room on the lower floor ??(once it was a warehouse) and that of the upper floor (once it was a basement), there is a video room equipped with a large screen and 6 chairs (seat height: 44 cm).

The video room and the room on the upper floor are connected by a sloping ramp (length: 2 meters, slope of 16%).

Oratory and Cloister
You access the oratory, which develops around the cloister, after passing in succession: a double-leaf gate (190 cm wide each), a 12-meter paved path with a slope of 5%, a double leaf door (76 cm wide each) and two hinged doors (135 cm wide each). The oratory has an exhibition space and an auditorium.

The oratory leads to the cloister, used for temporary exhibitions and events, passing a double leaf door (53 cm wide each).

Orientation signage
In the building, there are  directional arrows with high contrast and large lettering (at least 7 cm).

Toilet facilities
You access the toilet from the square in front of the church, passing 15 steps (17 cm high each) with a handrail on the left (90 cm above the ground). The disabled toilet has the following characteristics:

  • vestibule with 1 step (6 cm high) and a hinged door (64 cm wide)
  •  wall mounted washbasin (clear space in front: 230 cm)
  • toilet with hinged door (93 cm wide)
  • floor standing toilet (clear space: in front 86 cm, on the right side 200 cm, on the left side 23 cm)
  • high contrast symbols indicating toilet facilities, positioned at eye level, using medium to large size letters.
