Getting there by public transport
The old town of Monza is a ZTL (limited traffic area), with access allowed only to authorized vehicles.
The Cathedral of Monza is located in the pedestrian area and can be reached by buses Z204, Z205, Z206.

Parking

Entrance
The large pedestrian square has a cobblestone surface with paved walkways. The churchyard of the cathedral is bordered by a marble balustrade with openings of about 120 cm.
The entrance has a swing door (width 70 cm), a threshold (h 2 cm) and a second swing door (width 127 cm).

Hospitality
Brochures illustrating the history of the basilica (in Italian, English and French) are available to visitors. The visit of the "Cappella di Teodolinda” (Chapel of Teodolinda) and “Corona Ferrea” (Iron Crown) is regulated (guided tours of 25 people at a time, suspended during religious services).
No entrance fee for the person with disability and for his companion.

Interior spaces
The Cathedral was built between the fourteenth and the seventeenth century. The nave and aisles are free of obstacles. The church has benches with kneeling stools (h 50 cm).
The Cappella di Teodolinda is reached via 3 consecutive steps (h 16 cm) and a double swing door (width 96 cm each). Here are highly interesting frescoes, a masterpiece of Gothic art, which are spread over an area of about 500 square meters, telling the story of Queen Teodolinda. The chapel also houses the precious Corona Ferrea, which was used from the Middle Ages until the nineteenth century for the coronation of the King of Italy.
On the left side aisle there is the chapel with the baptismal font of Ercole Turati, reached via a step (h 14 cm), and the sacristy (108 cm swing door).
In the right side aisle overlooking the cappella di San Giovanni (St. John's Chapel), accessible through 2 steps (h 15 cm), and of the Cappella della Madonna del Rosario (Our Lady of the Rosary Chapel), accessible through 3 steps (h 15 cm).
The altar can be reached via 9 steps (h 14 cm).

Along the various paths there are directional arrows written in large letters (at least 7 cm) and clearly visible.
