Entrance
The entrance from the cathedral square has 3 steps, overcome via a ramp to the right of the façade (5 meters, 4% gradient). The main entrance has a swing door (122 cm) and a second double swing door (73 cm each).

Interior spaces
The cathedral, commonly called Duomo, is the parish of San Pietro Apostolo (St. Peter Apostle). The remains of Sant’Anselmo (St. Anselm), patron of the city, and other famous people can be found inside the cathedral. The nave and aisles can be visited without encountering any obstacles; there are benches with pews and chairs (seat h 49 cm). In both aisles, the altars of the chapels are adorned with important works of art. All of the chapels can be accessed by climbing one step (h 21 cm). The left aisle houses the Cappella della Vergine Incoronata (Chapel of the Crowned Virgin) and the Cappella del Santissimo Sacramento (Chapel of the Blessed Sacrament). The Cappella della Vergine Incoronata is reached via a double swing door (77 cm each) followed by 3 consecutive steps (18 cm). It has benches with pews (seat h 49 cm). The Sacristy is accessible from inside the chapel via 3 consecutive steps (h 18 cm). The Cappella del Santissimo Sacramento has 8 steps (h 15 cm) and a double swing door (115 cm each).
