Getting around
Santa Maria Assunta was built on a church that already existed in the fourteenth century. Entirely built in Angera stones, it has a 16th-century style façade dating back to the early 1900s.

The interior space of the church, with three naves, can be visited without obstacles and has benches (seat height: 51 cm).
To access the altar, you need to overcome 2 steps (14 cm each).
To the left of the main altar, there is the “altar of the Crucifix" and to the right the “altar of the Immaculate Heart", both reachable by passing two steps (14 cm high each).
In the left aisle there is the Baptistery and on the last pillar of the central nave there is a carved wooden pulpit by Giovan Battista Besozzi.
On the side aisles there are two chapels with valuable frescoes: the chapels can be accessed by passing a step (16 cm high).
