Getting around
The church, built in 1357 by the Humiliated, was for many years a convent of the Carmelites. It has a single nave with 5 chapels per side that can be reached by passing a step (13 cm high); the church has benches with kneelers (seat height: 49 cm). The altar can be reached by passing 4 steps (16 cm high each).
In the first chapel on the left, you can admire the "Virgin Mary with Child and the Saints" in carved and gilded wood dating back to the 1400s.  Another chapel on the left, dedicated to the Madonna del Carmine, has a Baroque altar by Filippo Juvarra. A paper guide  on the history of the church is available in Italian and English.
