Parking
The Basilica is located in the center of Mantua, in a pedestrian area; it is possible to park in the adjacent streets (via Goito, via Cavour, via Accademia); in piazza Leon Battista Alberti and in piazza Sordello there are some parking spaces reserved for people with permits for citizens with disability.

Entrance
The facade of the church in piazza Mantegna has a central door and two side doors; the main entrance has 6 consecutive steps (h 15 cm). Alternatively, persons with disabilities can go to the nearby piazza Leon Battista Alberti (cobblestone pavement) and use the sign posted secondary route. Once past a large double swing door (140 cm each), then walk about 20 meters. This leads to another double swing door (55 cm each) and it takes to the left side of the facade of the basilica; once past a sloping ramp (length 230 cm; 6% gradient), there is a first swinging door (110 cm) and a second double swing door (63 cm each) which leads to the central nave.

Interior spaces
The Basilica di Sant'Andrea is the largest church in Mantua. It has a nave and two side aisles which are free of obstacles and there are benches with pews and chairs (seat h 48 cm).
The left aisle houses two chapels: to reach the Cappella dell’Immacolata it is necessary to climb 3 consecutive steps (h 14 cm), while to reach the Cappella del Mantegna, it is necessary to climb 2 steps (h 16 cm).
In the central nave, in front of the altar, there is an octagonal space, accessible via 2 steps (h 16 cm), which leads to the crypt below. The crypt holds the relics of the "Preziosissimo sangue” (Most Precious Blood).
