Parking
The basilica is located in a restricted traffic area. Parking is available on the blue lines along via XI Febbraio (500 m), where there are also two parking spaces reserved for people with permits for citizens with disability. On via Carlo Cattaneo (150 m) there is one parking space reserved for people with permits for citizens with disability.

Entrance
The square in front of the basilica is cobblestone with a paved paths. The entrance has a threshold (cm 2 h), two consecutive double swing doors (the first 47 cm each and the second 55 cm each) and 10 consecutive steps (h 13 cm). Alternatively, persons with motor disabilities can use the convent entrance about 10 meters on the right side of the facade of the basilica; the door is usually closed and there is no intercom. It is advisable to visit the Basilica with a companion who can come to church and ask for the opening.
This alternative route has a double door (60 cm each), a ramp (length 3 meters, 6% gradient), a single swing door (80 cm) and a second ramp (length 3 meters, gradient 4% ). This leads to the cloister, then you follow the arcade (30 meters), and enter the basilica through a double swing door (h 82 cm each) leading to the south apse.

Interior spaces
From the right side apse, which houses the Cappella di Santa Rita da Cascia Chapel of Saint Rita of Cascia), visitors reach the interior of the church via two consecutive steps (h 16 cm). These can be passed via a ramp (length 200 cm, gradient 8%).The nave and aisles are free of obstacles. There are benches with pews and chairs (seating h 55 cm).The presbytery with the Arca marmorea di Sant’Agostino (marble Arch of St Augustine), a masterpiece of Lombard sculpture of the fourteenth century, is reached by climbing 9 steps (h 16 cm).The left apse contains the shrine of the Santissimo Sacramento (Blessed Sacrament).
In the crypt, reached by climbing 9 steps (h 17 cm) and an 83 cm threshold, visitors can find the tomb of San Severino Boezio (St. Boethius).
The Sixteenth century Sacristy on the left aisle is reached by climbing 3 consecutive steps (h 16 cm), a swing door (90 cm) and another 5 steps (h 16 cm). This large room has frescoed ceilings and houses the bookshop (counter h 76 and h 99 cm).

Restrooms
From the right side aisle, climbing 3 steps (h 16 cm) or alternatively a double ramp (length 285 cm, 10% gradient), visitors reach an accessible toilet, which has the following characteristics:

  • anteroom with swing door width 83 cm
  • wall-mounted washbasin (138 cm front space)
  • bathroom with hinged door width 80 cm
  • floor-mounted WC (210 cm front space, right side 37 cm, left side 40 cm).

Climbing a further 7 steps (h 16 cm) or alternatively via a stair lift and a single swing door, (h 80 cm), visitors reach the bathroom equipped for persons with disabilities, which has the following characteristics:

  • bathroom with sliding door width 87 cm
  • wall-mounted washbasin (front space 110 cm)
  • floor-mounted WC (105 cm front space, right side 33 cm, left side 67 cm, horizontal and vertical grab bar on the left side handle on the right side).
  • bathroom signs are clearly visible, at eye level and medium-large size.
