The basilica is near the road running along the lakeside, behind Piazza Cermenati. Cars can be parked on the blue lines along the road. There are 2 parking spaces reserved for disabled pass holders in Via Mascari, around 10 metres from the basilica. During the church opening hours, disabled pass holders may park in the spacious churchyard.

Entrance
The churchyard is reached from the lakeside by means of a flight of 26 steps (h 12 cm), followed by another flight of 16 steps (h 12 cm). Alternatively, the basilica can be reached  by turning left from Via Bovara into Via Mascari, where a barrier (open during visiting hours and church services) leaves a pedestrian access space 154 cm wide, leading to the churchyard.
The main entrance has  6 consecutive steps (h 14 cm), which can be avoided by using the ramp on the right of the facade (450 cm long, 130 cm wide, 5% gradient, handrail to the right). A double-panelled entrance door (each panel 112 cm wide) followed by another double-panelled door (each panel 120 cm wide) lead into the basilica.
