Parking
The church is located in a Ztl (limited traffic area), where access is monitored by video cameras. 1 parking spaces reserved for people with permits for citizens with disabilities. People with permits for citizens with disabilities can also park on the blue lines free of charge and even in the square in front of the Basilica. Entrance
The entrance to the basilica has three steps, accessed by a mobile aluminum ramp (gradient 22%), a double swing door (160 cm, always open) and a swing door (90 cm).

Accessibility for people with sensory disabilities
Inside the church it is present an informative panel (h 85 cm from the ground) with a short text in Italian, in English and in Braille, too. It is possible to orienteer inside the building thanks to a raised plan in the central part of the panel. A depiction of the overview of the façade integrates visual and tactile contents. A Frame QR Code or a NFC for smartphone allow to establish peer-to-peer radio communications: audio suitable for people with visual impairment and video with subtitles and translation of the texts in Lis (Italian Sign Language) suitable for people with acoustic impairment. It describes, after a short introduction about the building history, its structure, some artworks and its façade.

Interior spaces
Tradition says that it was built to the orders of Bishop Eustorgio to house the relics of the Three Wise Men. Inside it is possible to admire a cycle of frescoes by Vincenzo Foppa, with episodes from the life of the saint. At the center is an ark in Carrara marble that holds the remains of the saint. The central and side naves are accessible; to reach the chapels there are two steps (about 13 cm), while in order to access Visconti Chapel it is necessary to exceed one step (3,5 cm); Wise Men Chapel has no obstacles. The inclination of the marble floor (slope 11%) allows to access easily to the sottocoro from the bottom of both aisles.

Toilets can be easily reached from the sottocoro.  Main features:

  • swing doors (82 cm and 80 cm) for the dressing room and for the toilet.
