Parking area
It is possible to park in the churchyard on stable, firm and compact surfaces of earth and grass. 

Entrance
The Abbey was built outside the town and is located on the Via Francigena. The entrance of the Abbey has a double door (85 cm wide each) and 1 step (10 cm height).

Getting around
The abbey of Sant'Albino was founded in the 5th century, and of the original abbey today we have the church, with its 15th century frescoes, the Romanesque-Gothic bell tower and some ruined rural buildings. The church is furnished with benches and chairs (45 cm height).
On the right wall of the presbytery you can admire three frescoes painted in 1410 by Giovanni da Milano and representing: “Sant'Antonio Abate”, “Il battesimo di Gesù” and “Madonna in trono con Sant'Albino”. In addition to the frescos, in a number of bricks it is possible to notice the traces of the engravings made by pilgrims who stopped in Sant'Albino. The oldest engraving dates back to the year 1100.
To access the altar, you need to overcome 2 steps (17 cm each).

The Refectory
On the left side of the central aisle, after passing a single door (110 cm wide) and 1 step (16 cm height) you enter the refectory which is available for those visitors who want to make a stop. The room is furnished with rectangular tables (clear space below: 70 cm) and chairs (seat height: 43 cm). 

Toilet facilities
From the refectory you can reach toilet facilities. The disabled toilet  has the following characteristics:

  • vestibule with hinged door (90 cm wide)
  • toilet with hinged door (90 cm wide), wall mounted washbasin (front space 128 cm) and horizontal grab bar on the right side of the washbasin
  • toilet bowl (clear floor area: in front: 116 cm, on the right side 38 cm, on the left side 110 cm, horizontal grab bar on the right side and left handrail). Clear easy-to-read and high-contrast toilet signs, placed at eye level, medium to large size lettering.
