How to get there
There is no public transport to reach the Abbey directly.

Parking area
It is possible to park freely around the Abbey (compact surface).
Entrance
The Mirasole Abbey, founded by the Order of the Humiliates, is built around a courtyard overlooked by agricultural buildings (today they are used as conference rooms, guest rooms and restaurants), the fifteenth-century cloister and the church of Santa Maria Assunta.
The agricultural courtyard can be accessed by passing through a wide main entrance (360 cm wide) surmounted by a thirteenth-century tower.
Reception
The infopoint-ticket office (counter height: 76 cm) is located on the right side of the courtyard and can be reached by passing in succession 1 step (9 cm high) and a hinged door (96 cm wide).

The church, the cloister and the exhibition rooms are equipped with information panels placed at varying heights (110 cm and 170 cm). Concerts and cultural initiatives are often organized in the halls and in the courtyard.
The Mirasole abbey organises professional training projects and job reintegration for disadvantaged people.
Chiesa Santa Maria Assunta
From the entrance of the courtyard, through a gravel path of about 40 m, you reach the Church of Santa Maria Assunta. The entrance has 1 step (8 cm high) and a double leaf door (84 cm wide each).
The church, dating back to the thirteenth century, was rebuilt in its current form and dimensions in the first half of the fifteenth century. The interior, with a single nave, can be visited without obstacles. To access the altar and the choir, you need to pass 1 step (16 cm high).
It has a wooden coffered ceiling and in the choir there is a fresco with the Assumption of Mary.
The church has benches and chairs (seat height: 46 cm).
On the right side, there is a chapel dedicated to the Nativity of the Virgin that can be reached by passing 2 steps (13 cm high each). The church also has notable paintings from the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries.
Cloister and permanent exhibition
The cloister can be reached from the church through a double leaf door on the left of the altar (61 cm wide each) and a step (5 cm high). The cloister can also be accessed from the farmyard by passing a step (4 cm high) and a double leaf door (124 cm wide each).
The cloister has a portico characterized by stone arches and columns and one of these columns holds a capital with the emblem of Mirasole.
In the cloister there are: the refectory, a meeting room, the chapter house, the prior's hall. Today they are mostly used for events and temporary exhibitions.
In the chapter house there is a permanent exhibition on the history of Mirasole. The entrance has 1 step (10 cm high) and a hinged door (89 cm wide).
The hall has several panels at different heights (110 cm and 170 cm) that illustrate the story of the abbey from its origins until today; moreover, important sacred objects are exhibited including the relics of San Carlo Borromeo, Sant'Ambrogio, Santa Lucia and Sant'Antonio Abate.
Halls and exhibition spaces
The halls used for hosting events differ in dimensions and characteristics. From the cloister you can access the halls on the ground floor. You reach the first floor through two flights of 13 steps (15 cm high each); on the first floor there are 4 rooms with a hinged door (86 cm wide); passing another 6 steps (16 cm high each) and a hinged door (86 cm wide) you reach other 2 rooms.
Alternatively, you can reach the first floor by using the elevator located on the right side of the farmyard in the co-housing space (entrance with a threshold - 2 cm high) and a hinged door (90 cm wide). Other rooms overlook the farmyard.

Lift
The lift connecting the two floors of the building has the following characteristics:
- door width: 90 cm; cabin: inner space 153x136 cm
- elevator level buttons embossed panel (110 cm high above the floor)
- emergency bell (127 cm high above the floor).
Orientation signage
In the different external and internal spaces (excluding the inside of the church) there are directional arrows with large lettering (at least 7 cm) and well contrasted.
Toilet facilities
In the architectural complex there are several toilet facilities There are two accessible toilets for people with disabilities.
The first one, located in the farmyard to the left of the shop, can be reached by a ramp (length: 100 cm, slope of 7%) and has the following characteristics:
- vestibule with hinged door (91 cm wide)
- toilet with hinged door (86 cm wide)
- washbasin: clear space in front 140 cm
- wall-mounted toilet (clear space: in front 124 cm; on the right side 134 cm; on the left side 29 cm).
- high contrast symbols indicating toilet facilities, positioned at eye level, using medium to large size letters.
The second one is located in the farmyard inside the "stall" room, opposite the shop, and has the following characteristics:
- vestibule with hinged door (90 cm wide)
- toilet with hinged door (90 cm wide)
- washbasin: clear space in front 130 cm
- floor standing toilet (clear floor space: in front 200 cm, on the right side 32 cm, on the left side 115 cm)
- high contrast symbols indicating toilet facilities, positioned at eye level, using medium to large size letters.
Shop and Cafeteria
The shop (counter height: 78 cm), near the ticket office, sells products of the monastery and has a dining area furnished with rectangular four-legged tables (clear space below: 76 cm).
Safety exits:
Emergency routes are well indicated. The building has an acoustic alarm device.
