Exhibition layout
Crespi d'Adda Village is a settlement built in the late nineteenth century by the Crespi family next to the industrial textile factory, to provide homes and useful services to its workers and their families. This "ideal workers' village" was inserted by UNESCO in the World Heritage Protected List. The village is divided into three areas, separated by two roads: the residential area to the east; the centre with the area of public utility services (the washhouse, the recreational club, hotel, church, theatre and schools). To the west is the industrial area, with what remains of the original "Crespi cotton mill" and at the end of the village tourists come to the cemetery. Access to the church and the cemetery is permitted, while the other buildings can be seen from the outside, but are not open to the public. The land is flat and the roads are asphalted.
The church
The church building is a copy of the Bramantesque building in piazza Santa Maria in Busto Arsizio.
The parvise is bordered by a chain, it has an access opening of 160 cm and a threshold (2 cm). To enter the church it is necessary to follow the parvise for 5 metres and pass in succession: 5 consecutive steps (h 14 cm), a single step (h 9 cm), two consecutive doors, the first double swing doors (90 cm each) and the second single swing door (90 cm).
The nave and aisles can be visited without obstacles; there are benches with kneeling stands and chairs (h 44 cm); to access the altar visitors must climb 3 steps (h 13 cm).
The cemetery
Walking along a long driveway surrounded by cypresses, visitors reach the cemetery. The entrance has a double gate (245 cm each). Visitors can walk about 40 meters with a gravel surface, which is at times disjointed, and reach the stately funeral monument of the Crespi family. It is a pyramid-shaped building place at the top of a staircase of 26 steps (h 15 cm).
In the central lawn, there are small identical headstones, in memory of the workers of the company.

Direction signs
Along the various paths there are directional arrows written in large letters (at least 7 cm) and clearly visible.
