Getting there by public transport

Parking area
The Faccanoni Mausoleum is located inside the cemetery of Sarnico.
It is possible to park in the large parking area close to the cemetery, where there is a parking space reserved for disabled pass holders.

Entrance
The main entrance of the cemetery has two sets of two consecutive steps (17 cm high and 14 cm high) and a large gate (180 cm wide); alternatively, people with motor disabilities can access from the entrance on the right side of the cemetery, passing a sloping ramp (5 m long, slope of 5%) and a hinged door (98 cm wide).

 Getting around
The Mausoleo Faccanoni, built in 1907 on a project by architect Sommaruga at the behest of the Faccanoni family, is one of the five Liberty-style buildings in Sarnico and is considered one of the greatest works by Sommaruga.
From the entrance of the cemetery you reach the majestic funeral monument covering about 30 meters with a paved path. A staircase of 43 non-consecutive steps (18 cm high each) leads you to the top of the mausoleum.

Toilet facilities
The toilets are located about 50 meters from the entrance and have the following features:

• vestibule with double leaf door (70 cm wide each)
• wall-mounted washbasin (clear space in front: 194 cm)
• bathroom with a step (12 cm high) and a hinged door (63 cm wide)
• squat toilet with vertical handles
• high contrast symbols indicating toilet facilities, positioned at eye level, using medium to large size letters.
