Entrance
From piazza Sant’Ambrogio it is possible to go to the portico through two sets of 3 steps (14 cm and 16 cm) or through a secondary entrance (left side of the portico), where there are two consecutive rubber ramps (slope 17% and 22%). From the portico it is possible to enter the church through two steps (13 cm) or through a mobile ramp (ask the bookshop staff) and even through a stairlift (ask the bookshop staff for the key) to exceed the 4 steps of the side entrance in via Lanzone 30/a.

Accessibility for people with sensory disabilities
Inside the church it is present an informative panel (h 85 cm from the ground) with a short text in Italian, in English and in Braille, too. It is possible to orienteer inside the building thanks to a raised plan in the central part of the panel. A depiction of the overview of the façade integrates visual and tactile contents. A Frame QR Code or a NFC for smartphone allow to establish peer-to-peer radio communications: audio suitable for people with visual impairment and video with subtitles and translation of the texts in Lis (Italian Sign Language) suitable for people with acoustic impairment. It describes, after a short introduction about the building history, its structure, some artworks and its façade.

Exhibition itinerary
There aren’t obstacles in the Basilica’s naves. In order to enter in the Cappella della Deposizione, on the right nave, it is necessary to exceed a swing door (117 cm) and a short ramp. From the right nave it is possible to enter even to: the Sant’Ambrogio’s Treasure, exceeding 5 steps (16 cm, handrail on the left), the Cappella del Sacro Cuore, exceeding 5 steps (17 cm, handrail on the left) and the San Vittore’s Chapel, exceeding 4 steps (16 cm). It is possible to enter the crypt from both naves (right nave: 5 steps of 16 cm). In order to visit the apse and the choir it is necessary to send an e-mail and to get there it is necessary to exceed two series of 3 and 5 steps.

Restrooms
An equipped toilet for people with disabilities is situated inside the oratory on Via Lanzone 30/a, near the side entrance where there is a stairlift. (the keys must be requested at the oratory bar).
